Hojicha Hanamitsu is a premium roasted sencha with a sweet nectar fragrance and toasty flavor. The nutty and smoky taste of the tea are reminiscent of a summer bonfire, which is perfectly complemented by the warm sunshine color of Hojicha Hanamitsu.
The single-origin roasted green tea is made from our high quality sencha tea leaves grown near Uji, Kyoto. After being picked during the June harvest, the tea leaves are lightly steamed to prevent oxidation. Each leaf is then rolled and dried to produce sencha. Finally, our Hojicha Hanamitsu is created by roasting the sencha at a high heat.
The full-bodied and flavorful Hojicha Hanamitsu can be sipped on hot or enjoyed as a thirst-quenching cold brew during the day. Since Hojicha Hanamitsu is a naturally low in caffeine, it is also an ideal after dinner tea.
Prepare Hojicha Hanamitsu by steeping 5 grams in 250 ml of 90°C water for 30 seconds. Let cool slightly to experience the robust flavor.
