Hojicha Classic
Hojicha Classic is a Japanese roasted green tea with a rich flavor and a pleasant aroma distinctive of Kyoto.
Japanese green tea was first roasted in Kyoto over a century ago. Tea drinkers were delighted by the sweet and smoky flavor of this green tea, and the aroma alone would attract passersby into tea shops.
Today, Kyoto is still renowned for producing the finest roasted green tea. Walking along the streets of Kyoto, the pleasant aroma fills the air as green tea is freshly roasted and prepared. As you sit down in a tea house, you'll be greeted with a cup of roasted tea that will soothe and warm you. The unique green tea is also served during dinner, as it is low in caffeine.
Hojicha Classic is crafted to offer the same authentic experience enjoyed by those visiting a quiet tea house in Kyoto. The single-origin tea is made from tea leaves grown in the hills of Kyoto, which are steamed, rolled, dried, and then skillfully roasted in small batches, removing any bitterness. Hojicha Classic is the perfect tea for those new to roasted green tea, as well as for those wishing to be transported to Kyoto for a peaceful moment.
Prepare Hojicha Classic by steeping 8 grams of tea leaves in 240 ml of 80°C (175°F) filtered water for 30 seconds. Savor the aromatic tea, and steep as many times as desired to enjoy the difference in flavor. Please feel free to adjust the amount of tea leaves, water quantity or temperature, and steeping time to find your favorite taste.
