Hojicha Powder is the easiest way to enjoy the naturally sweet taste and the pleasant aroma of Japanese roasted green tea.
After soaking up the sun of the Kyoto tea fields, our tea leaves are harvested in June. The green tea leaves are then carefully steamed, rolled, dried, and roasted to create hojicha (roasted green tea). Our hojicha is then finely ground to be packaged fresh and delivered for your next hojicha latte or hojicha dessert.
Hojicha Powder perfectly dissolves into water to create rich and creamy hojicha lattes. As well as being used in hot beverages, the ground hojicha is the ideal ingredient for transforming both sweet and savory recipes with its unique flavor and aroma.
Prepare the perfect hojicha latte by whisking together a teaspoon of our Hojicha Powder and 60 ml of water at 90°C (194°F). If desired, add a sweetener of your choice. Steam 180 ml of your preferred type of milk on the stovetop over medium-low heat. Froth the heated milk and pour over the ground hojicha mixture.
